A Near Conjunction

Slowly, the shapes of birds were beginning to materialise. We just needed to find somewhere that was less cluttered to allow us some chance of seeing birds! We observed as this bird methodically peeled off sizeable chunks of bark in search of breakfast. We opted to return to the vehicle, move on, and bird another trail.

The water this Northern Pintail is in has human poo in it, which completely ruins the experience of seeing this bird. The majority of diehard birders do not care where they get their birds. There is a caste of birders, however, that do not subscribe to this way of birding…no. Oh wait, it doesn’t. Portland, Oregon.

Little Black is in a large dog kennel, curled up in her litter box, going nowhere near her tasty, stinky canned food, and she will be returned tomorrow. As for the eagle's nest, I think all of the people who surround the nest each morning are mistaken. The movement of the enormous birds' heads is very owl-like.

It was a good birding year. Many sad and unfortunate things occurred in 2016, but the birding was good. The Rufous Treecreeper- Climacteris rufa is a species that is listed as a bird that you should encounter at the Porongurup National Park in Western Australia’s south-west. According to this website the Rufous Treecreeper lays two or three light purple eggs and only the female bird incubates the eggs.
