At some point, my stock of memories of birds seen outside of China will be used up, I am afraid. Even more than the African Grey Hornbill, they are forest birds. Any bird that apparently lives off turning around dung in search of insects deserves respect. Probably Wikipedia is more specialized on birds than the HBW.

Honestly, it amazes me I have any time to bird at all. One of my most cherished birding sightings in Uganda was seeing a distant male hornbill land by a walled up hole in a tree and feed its mate.
