My camera and binoculars, protected by the light coat I had packed, were wet but fully functional. Even so, I believe that the faint black line at the tip of this gull’s less bulky bill, and its apparently greenish legs, allow me to add the California Gull to my yearlist. By the time I gave up around 1 p.m., I was wrong.

They look crap but presumably offer some protection for the chicks, though not from each other (see the murderous activities within the nests in my previous post ). On one occasion, he tried catching a cobra by the tail and got bitten on the tip of finger which he slashed with a pocket knife. Jerdon has also been noted as being rash.
