You can easily get there via public transport by taking the train to Lara from either Geelong or Melbourne if you do not have access to a vehicle. It is free to enter Serendip Sanctuary and as you drive or walk up the road into the parking area there are opportunities to see kangaroos and wallabies as you can see above.

Perth Hills National Parks

It was completed in 1903 and it delivers water to the Goldfields area of Western Australia via a pipe that is over five hundred kilometres/three hundred miles long. The picnic area offers good opportunities to encounter Grey Kangaroos and they are particularly large animals. Grey Kangaroos at the Mundaring Weir picnic area.
