Foster to Fish Creek

The weather has not been very warm at all in this part of Australia despite it being summer and we have been fortunate to have not been affected by the awful bush-fires. They are usually busy throwing leaf litter around on the forest floor. I have become very familiar with the birds along the trail. Eastern Whipbird.

Birding beyond Brisbane

Sometimes they were with horses, but that’s OK! The hinterland produced some amazing birds and we did find it hard work looking so high into the trees to find the Catbird that continuously called and the Wompoo Fruit Dove, but the leaf litter below also produced some well-disguised birds. Now that is just how it should be!
