In all European Union countries to the north and east of Serbia (except Romania), Turtle Doves are strictly protected. The Turtle Dove is not a trophy animal. Since this spring’s revision of the European Red List, the Turtle Dove is listed as a vulnerable species. Money and effort are being invested in that protection.
