In a brief tour of a particular biotech research company, I was taken to the animal lab. Interesting that many of the grants this place gets specifically say they can't experiment on any domesticated animals (cats and dogs I guess.). There was a poster in the lunch room with four cute animals (a dog, cat, rabbit and something else.)

Somehow they manage to get the bird or animal to a rehabilitator, even though finding one is often a feat in itself. For one – and we’ll stick with this one issue for now – because sometimes the public decides to keep the animal they have found, just for a little while. To these people, we owe our gratitude.

Just before Thanksgiving, 2010, a driver spotted a Red-tailed hawk sitting on a dead rabbit in the middle of the road. She wasn’t about to leave her rabbit, and the driver figured something was wrong, so he picked her up. One of the animal keepers brought her to me, and I put her in my clinic. And to prove it, there’s The Queen.

A Chance for Bliss takes in and provides lifetime care for senior and special needs animals, as well as those others who are facing end of life circumstances. The purpose is therefore to provide a Forever Home for those companion and farm animals that have virtually no chance of being adopted due to their age or condition.

And frankly, I'm not sure these chefs have the training to do anything that doesn't involve a baby animal. The main challenge involves frog legs, rabbits, live lobsters (still moving) and other animals. Add cooking schools to the list of animal exploitation promoters, along with medical schools. What the eff?
