In The Last of Us video game, there are two scenes where they show exotic animals surviving in the North American climate. TL;DR Does anybody here have any information about animals from different parts of the world successfully living in a totally different area? The giraffes did not.

What kid can resist the siren song of bunny rabbits frolicking in the grass? And Desi, being the offspring of two pretty cool people, if I do so say myself, loves chasing him some rabbits. Rabbits practically beg to be chased, with their cuteness and their swiftness and their uncatchability. Why wouldn’t he?

People have moved useful plants and animals around with them as long as they had the wit to do so. They took dogs to Australia, chickens across the Pacific, rabbits to England, horses to the New World, and then brought potatoes back. There were no mammals, little game, and not many birds either.

Dirt hawking is a form of falconry that involves hunting rabbits and other small game with Harris Hawks (other hawk species also qualify). There are many examples in the animal world of pack behavior. I have never been one to advocate the needless killing of animals for whatever purpose. Survival of the fittest.

There has to be something I can do to reduce all of the suffering of the animals we use as food, I thought. And it limits you in that you can't just go anywhere to watch a football game if you plan to eat anything. I recently watched Earthlings and cried the whole way through. How do they know what's right?

They are not necessarily the biggest African animals, but represented those that were considered a real hunter’s worthy prey or “game” – the African Elephant, Cape Buffalo, Black Rhinoceros, Leopard and king of the jungle, the Lion (which of course doesn’t inhabit jungle but savanna!).
