Now, something that caught my fancy, that was stated by the reactionist/YouTube personality, was that this ape, this early hominid if you would, which died out just prior to the arrival of humans or because of the arrival of humans. Give it a think.

In The Last of Us video game, there are two scenes where they show exotic animals surviving in the North American climate. The monkeys made sense; many species of apes and monkeys are adaptable to many climates and are similar to humans in terms of anatomy. The giraffes did not.
