Choosing to adopt a dog rather than get one at the pet store (or what some like to refer to as “puppy mill”) is a beautiful thing—essentially you are saving a poor pup from euthanasia and you’re providing a an animal with a good home. But adopting a pet is a huge responsibility and is very similar to adopting a child.

There is a fun game called Furdiburb , and like the title of this post suggests, it’s a virtual pet adventure game! Furdiburb is a virtual pet, puzzle, and adventure game mashed into one. Players care for their newly adopted pet by feeding and cleaning him. The pet never dies. Family/kid-friendly.

Animals in the tri-state area are euthanized daily, rescue groups are unable to save as many lives as they wish, and animals spend years in boarding kennels while awaiting adopters to fall in love with them. There is an estimated 3-4million pets euthanized each year in US animal shelters. Some were abused or neglected.

However, any breed of dog that has been abused, neglected, or homeless may be aggressive to humans or other dogs. Abused and neglected dogs may react aggressively to something that you consider non-aggressive.
