They are two dogs that once needed to be adopted. Someone told us it involved Seattle Purebred Dog Rescue. Now if you get one from the brother in law of the recently deceased Finance Minister of Nigeria, that's probably real. They eventually were (in 2007, I believe. But, the story won't die. Or at least a version of it.

Since there are many laws and fines against animal cruelty or irresponsible pet ownership, its possible that the man felt this was his only recourse. An animal shelter or animal rescue center are good options.

Animals in the tri-state area are euthanized daily, rescue groups are unable to save as many lives as they wish, and animals spend years in boarding kennels while awaiting adopters to fall in love with them. As a foster parent, you can set certain guidelines with the rescue group as to what type of animal you prefer.
