On Veganism and Adoption

Animal Person

On Taxes, Veganism and "Pets"

Animal Person

I've written about my ambivalence regarding "pet" ownership/guardianship/insert-whatever-term-you're-comfortable-with, and also about my strong belief in helping individuals, but I don't recall addressing whether the having of pets is not vegan. I remember the first time I read an article by a prominent vegan--maybe it was David Cantor ?--who

For instance, he is figuring out a way to " deliver advertisements for rescued animals seeking adopters and fosters." That must be very frustrating, as it's not as if the vegans have made that decision.

On Charles and Project Treadstone

Animal Person

The vet did give me a hard time about the dogs' animal-free diets (my traditional vets don't, ironically), and my response was that unless she could show me some research that his particular type of injury needs animal protein to heal, I wasn't going to change anything. been there. My poor boy. Wish him luck!
