Since 2016, the Rustic Bunting has been listed as Vulnerable, as data suggested rapid population declines (HBW). I did not find much about this bird online except for a paper with the exciting title “A new quill mite Torotrogla emberizae sp. led its listing as Vulnerable. Maybe there is some justice in this world after all.
