With the work that the SPCA does, soldiers who connect with animals in war zones, often get the chance to reconnect with them when they return home from service. And just a note to all you cat lovers out there, they have rescued cats as well!

Danny and Ben were rescued on April 27 by the Ohio SPCA after receiving a complaint about malnourished horses. They were brought to the Ohio SPCA Farm Sanctuary to recover physically and heal spiritually. The Ohio SPCA operates solely on donations.

50 surviving horses were rescued. The Humane Society of the United States, SPCA of East Texas and Humane Society of North Texas worked with the Smith County District Attorney's Office to rescue 50 horses from a Lindale property.
