The SPCA does some amazing work on behalf of our animal friends all over the globe. Operation Baghdad Pups provides veterinary care and coordinates complicated logistics and transportation requirements in order to reunite these beloved pets with their service men and women back in the U.S.A. We think this is an amazing mission!

Many pet owners are able to enjoy their pets for the entire duration of the animal’s life. This is great news for owners who have pets who have a long life span, such as dogs, cats and many other creatures. However, it becomes a problem for the animal when the owner decides that he can no longer keep the pet.

Pit Bull Rescue Central (PBRC) is a great resource for pit bull owners and those that find a homeless or lost pit bull. For example, the petting a dog’s tail; an abuser may have done something violent to the dog’s tail, and the dog may try to protect itself when you touch it there. Begin Searching For an Owner. I was really excited to hear about an Angel Tree program for pets. The program, which is run by Best Friends Pet Care , is now in it’s 11th year! You can help pets in need through the month of December by donating food, supplies or cash which will then benefit more than 70 community animal shelters across the U.S.
