My cat- we adopted him through a local rescue after my MIL found him and his mama and siblings in a box on the side of the road. She fostered him because she worked at the rescue at the time. My MIL pulled some crazy drama (as usual) with the rescue owners like two days after we signed papers to get him. He was/is perfect.

A feral kitten captured and neutered by a small non-profit, somewhat militant organization, was on display at our local Massachusetts Society Prevention of Cruelty Association branch, which often took these feral cats in the hope of finding homes for them.
