One of the benefits that human rights movements have is that they are articulating for themselves. Humans get all wrapped up in stories of those who can communicate their sufferings. The Humane Society? It's not sorry, it just hasn't found its moral, UNITED, ORGANIZED voice. Animals can't do that.

If any "drastic measures" are employed, they are to remove animals from suffering, not to impose our dietary choices on others. The Humane Society of the United States is the big bully on this strange playground. Perhaps it is the industry's inability to evolve morally that is behind the times.

As reported in the AP story, two styles of Sean John jackets—one a hooded snorkel style, the other a classic version—were originally advertised as faux fur, but an investigation by the Humane Society of the United States [ HSUS ] found that the jackets were made from dog fur. But is it really? Not according to my students.
