This fun site is known as the Teleferico Road , a place where the blend of habitats can result in a huge number of species.

I’m tired of hearing people who enjoy killing justify it with specious moral platitudes. It is only the prejudice of our species that justifies culling the deer population while protecting our own. He says meat tastes more precious when you’ve watched it die. May I recommend a trip to a slaughterhouse? Animals suffer when killed.

Those would be migrants like Red-eyed Vireos, Swainson’s Thrushes, Scarlet Tanagers , Blackburnian Warblers , and Eastern Kingbirds along with less common species like the sublime Cerulean Warbler. Look to the sky and a constant movement of swallows pass overhead, mostly Barn and Cliffs but also Northern Rough-wings and Banks.

Hunting sandhill cranes in Kentucky is a bad idea from a public relations standpoint, considering the growing cadre of birders and nature enthusiasts for whom cranes are a touchstone species. Initiating a hunting season on a large, charismatic species like a crane is no way to resuscitate hunting.
