I'm struck by how two friends of mine used to be vegetarians before I met them and then switched to meat because their doctors said they "needed" the meat. Tags: meat. Does anyone "need" meat? Or do they just need the protein? I think this is ideological BS on the part of their doctors.

Vegetarians and vegans know that you get protein from vegetables. I have yet to see an episode featuring vegetarian cooking. Vegetarians are far more predominant than people who go to snooty French restaurants. Add cooking schools to the list of animal exploitation promoters, along with medical schools. That's not true.

The book, which I have not read, that saved Derrick Jensen 's life is called The Vegetarian Myth: Food, Justice, and Sustainability by Lierre Keith, who was a vegan for 20 years, suffered serious medical problems, and started feeling better when she recommenced eating animals. Throughout the book, Keith mocks vegetarians and vegans.

I had to make exactly the same meal for her every day, so I moved to using Natural Balance Vegetarian kibble (note that the canned version is not vegan due to the animal source of Vitamin D3). Because Violet and Charles are chock full of medical issues, they have a handful of specialists.

There's no remotely vegan or even vegetarian (though I'm not even sure what the latter would look like) message. Tags: Activism Current Affairs Film Language. We eat animals, and the CAFO system is an evil, filthy, cruel one, but it doesn't have to be that way. And then the way we eat causes diabetes. That's criminal.

For Engber, who dispassionately describes procedures most of the time, the "advances" in the medical care of humans are all well worth what he and other vivisectionists do to dogs and other sentient nonhumans. The tiresome Hitler was a well-known vegetarian comment is included in this segment, but I found it irksome long before that.
