The DDF will be raising $20,000 for the training and care of a service dog (including medical bills, training and food) which will be donated to one lucky war vet from the FSD group. DDF will raise the money for the service dog by raffling off a used Jeep that features a custom paint job and custom parts.

CFTC differentiates itself by providing the most direct and fastest support of any womens cancer non-profit, including national organizations. We love it when people and animals come together for a great cause!

The event is to be held at Pacha on Thursday, October 22, 2009, and all funds raised will benefit the city’s broad rescue, shelter and adoption services. Last year, AC&C hosted over 200 guests and raised $85,000 for the Animal Care cause. And not just dogs and cats: goats, cows, and even tortoises have been rescued by Animal Care.

Not only were her organs exposed, the entire area was alive with maggots. We all thought the kindest approach would be to end her suffering, but then…she raised her head and looked directly at me. We medicated her for maggots, picked at least 100,000 of the creepy critters from her abdomen, and finally treated the injury.
