So, remember the incident in which an orca whale attacked and killed its trainer at Sea World? I sincerely hope this leads to a change in law regarding animals in captivity. At a minimum, they should stop the captivity of orca whales. Now there's going to be a Congressional hearing this week about it.

Whale Wars will air on Animal Planet in early 2009. During Sea Shepherd’s Antarctic Whale Defense Campaign: Operation Migaloo in 2007/08, Animal Planet had a camera crew on board a campaign that saved the lives of nearly 500 whales, leaving the Japanese fleet with less then half of their quota and costing them tens of millions of dollars.

I admit I haven't been paying attention to what has been going on with the Japanese whaling fleet. The same could be said for any policeman and Sea Shepherd is not down here to protest whaling, we are down here to obstruct illegal whaling as defined under international conservation law.
