Dirt hawking is a form of falconry that involves hunting rabbits and other small game with Harris Hawks (other hawk species also qualify). I have never been one to advocate the needless killing of animals for whatever purpose. My job is to move ahead and kick bushes in the hope of flushing a rabbit or hare. “HO!!

Sometimes, I feel that competing bird conservation groups are trying too hard to get my attention and give the impression that just by sitting here on my futon and breathing, I have killed several birds. I’m now petting my rabbit Dougal, 6 more birds dead. I just looked over at my husband–bam 5 birds dead.

Lots of squirrels, chipmunks, deer, rabbits. Ocassional robins, sparrows, crows. the last part is raptor behavior but I can't imagine what kind of bird would be small enough to choose this space when there's 300 yds of chain link fence right there, and I've yet to see a dead squirrel, rabbit or chipmunk.
