Fortunately, just like when we visited Washington State , Daisy was amenable to taking a boat ride to see some puffins so on the evening of Saturday, 27 May, we (me, Daisy, Desi, and my mother-in-law) found ourselves on a boat in New Harbor watching Black Guillemots swim in the harbor while we waited for our boat to head out to Eastern Egg Rock.

Who Should Not Eat Meat, or What Does a Vegetarian Feed His Dog? Presumably it would include all human beings, whether they are in the habit of eating animals or not. Since animals cannot be judged morally praiseworthy or blameworthy, the question of whether it is morally wrong for them to eat meat cannot be raised.

The chimp would examine it and quickly slam the meat right back at him. Is he assuming that man’s meat eating is a perversion of his natural instincts, which are inherited from monkeys? Even if it were true that meat-eating is unnatural for humans (in some nonmoral sense), it would not follow that it is wrong.

I also have a rule to eat any cultural food when I am traveling to another country or am a guest or have guests of people from another culture who eat food with meat.
