I know he's a conservationist, therefore I know he will advocate for "managing" the "resources" that are sentient nonhumans. In the majority of cases, it is humans who are to blame for the plunging numbers of animals, and Corwin is very clear about the extent to which we have destroyed the world around us.

Most of the people debating this issue are for conservation, they are against wild areas being destroyed and wild species being threatened with extinction. The way things should be is a very powerful motivating factor in human lives. Having decided to conserve species and save them from extinction, how do you go about doing it?

Not a cover species The Black Kite is not actually black, but of course, misleading bird names are not exactly rare. It is mostly a question of economics – raising just one is troublesome enough given the resources required to feed and educate the chick. No surprise then that the species is listed as Vulnerable.
