One of the birds most likely to have been heard about in recent years is the Night Parrot. The huge population of feral cats undoubtedly is having a detrimental effect on our bird life. On a local level we need to consider if we really do need to let our pets chase shorebirds and whether we really do need to drive along our shoreline.
