Every time I go to Bite Back Magazine , I'm struck by how many times ALF activists in Mexico have targeted fast food outlets. 15 - Spilled paint at KFC They have hit other types of targets, but it seems like the number of attacks on fast food restaurants has gone up in the month of October.

Work brings me regularly to Monterrey in Nuevo Leon, northern Mexico. We met Marilyn and Leonardo at a non-descript fast-food joint’s parking lot and within 10 minutes we were in Parque Nacional La Estanzuela. Monterrey is a big industrial city, with industrious people.

I flew into Denver from Mexico. My colleague Doug wrote me an email describing the whereabouts of these “rosy finches” and my wife had to manage my excitement with horse tranquilizer… What a fantastic little birds. I might have to add the Dallas airport staff to the list of things Buffon was right about.
