Casualties surrounding migration were limited to natural events such as weather – not wind generators, poisoned food and water from industry, farm run-off, or loss of traditional stopover areas due to habitat destruction. Our world has changed, and humans have created that change. The difference seems obvious.

50 surviving horses were rescued. The Humane Society of the United States, SPCA of East Texas and Humane Society of North Texas worked with the Smith County District Attorney's Office to rescue 50 horses from a Lindale property. For the full story, go here to KLTV.com.

You say that "Family Farms do not exist and that they don't care about their animals." Does he own the human members of his "family?" Does he really equate the cows with the human sentients in his family? Can the humans come and go as they please? I love my cows and I don't anyone touch them in that manner.

His passion and compassion for humans is immense, but he appears to have some kind of mental block with nonhuman animals. I suppose speciesism/human exceptionalism is at the heart of the matter. He just doesn't believe that other beings lives might have a purpose all their own that is entirely unrelated to humans.

What if consumers have genuinely been paying attention and have realized that animal products aren't that healthy, are an environmental disaster (the way most are produced) and not sustainable and are a blatant, direct signs of the largest and longest injustice in human history? Why the rescue plan?
