The text goes far beyond just those two birds, however, as Doug works his way through the puzzles presented by the incredibly wide diversity of bird behavior, even within species, citing current research and new and old theories, reasoning out the most likely and unlikely answers. The six middle chapters are my favorite reading.

Birds of Bolivia: Field Guide–A Book Review

That’s pretty amazing–Bolivia has more bird species than India! The source of this ranking, BirdLife International, lists Bolivia as currently having 1,439 bird species, including 18 breeding endemics. The guide covers 1,433 species, the number of birds documented at the end of 2014, the cutoff point for the book.

Best Bird of the Weekend (Second of March 2011)

For Corey, this was a weekend without a single standout species but with many birds that were pretty darn neat. Kah Wai Lin Mar 14th, 2011 at 3:26 am White-throated dipper in Nyfors waterfall of Sweden. Enjoy the details and proof here. Have a great week!! It is cool to see them feeding underwater.
