Some time ago a neighborhood stray cat came to the yard to have her kittens. This little mama cat was super smart and found her way into the hot tub, and here are her little kittens snuggled up in a flower pot. We tried to find a rescue group to take the little family so they could hopefully find a loving home.

Often these puppies or kittens are not placed in homes, and end up in the shelter. Puppies and kittens often up in shelters as well, but it is important to note that your animals, especially puppies, require a lot of work and training and can be quite destructive (peeing on the carpet or chewing shoes).

As is quite apparent from the video, whether you have a dog, cat, horse or rabbit they quickly become a big part of the family regardless of their size. Veterinary fee’s can run into the hundreds of pounds if not thousands and with many families struggling to make ends meet as it is, some are left with little option but to put their pet down.

I come from a large family: five sisters, two brothers and almost everyone has kids. Most of my family lives in Indiana, but thanks to social media we can easily keep in touch. Case in point: some of my family members have become active with feral cat colony organizations. I have mixed feelings about TNR.
