The day before the marmot encounter, I spotted an American Robin on my lawn; the night before that, the distinctive sound of a small flock of Snow Geese sounded from the sky above my apartment, heading north. For yes, it is that time again.

Additionally, you can enjoy a meal at the restaurant or climb to the top of Sweden’s tallest lighthouse, the Långe Jan (Long Jon), for an even more breathtaking view (and possibly catch a glimpse of some seals). Barnacle Geese and their downy-grey cygnets were everywhere, grazing alongside picnickers and sunbathers.
