The event is to be held at Pacha on Thursday, October 22, 2009, and all funds raised will benefit the city’s broad rescue, shelter and adoption services. This year’s event will feature numerous special guests and fun activities. The evening’s main events include a canine fashion show and charity auction.

They were to be deployed to Ground Zero with 200 other members of New Jersey Task Force 1, including structural engineers and medical workers, as well as other search-and-rescue people. Finding One Another seeks to educate the public and raise funds to support the needs of the search-and-rescue field.

The DDF will be raising $20,000 for the training and care of a service dog (including medical bills, training and food) which will be donated to one lucky war vet from the FSD group. DDF will raise the money for the service dog by raffling off a used Jeep that features a custom paint job and custom parts.

The funds raised covered all the costs associated with the training, graduation, food and medical bills for Butterball’s lifetime. kicked off on the 4th of July and covered over 400miles of side roads in an effort to raise awareness and support for the campaign. The national raffle for the Dream Bike and Sidecar will help to raise the funds needed to sponsor the life of a service dog for an individual in need. The foundation’s fund raising goal of $20,000 will help to cover all the costs associated with the dog’s training, graduation, food and medical bills for the dog’s lifetime.

The book, which I have not read, that saved Derrick Jensen 's life is called The Vegetarian Myth: Food, Justice, and Sustainability by Lierre Keith, who was a vegan for 20 years, suffered serious medical problems, and started feeling better when she recommenced eating animals. But that would be unfair.
