I came across these stories about two different medical experiments using mice. They used different lighting situations to see how they affect mice moods. Plus, are mice comparable to kids (although I would prefer mice subjects to primates who are so much more sensitive)? One of the conclusions?

The research in question took place over many years and involved inducing various degrees of pain in mice using methods such as dipping their tails in hot water or injecting them with mustard oil or vinegar. The faces of the mice were then photographed to understand how they express pain. "No From CBC News.

She got out and began taking photos and quickly realized that the owl was being baited with white mice. But as she stayed and mice were being tossed out, she decided it wasn’t for her, and she left the birds, and the group. I question the release of non-native mice into the wild. My own take on that mirrors it.

They're not necessarily questioning the ethics, but the efficacy. Indeed, it often isn't even the best science: New drugs that show great promise in mice, for example, often confer zero benefit to humans, or even prove harmful. This is an excellent article that appeared in the Boston Globe last week.

It has absolutely nothing to do with any genuine environmentalist ethic. And not all organizations that advocate for animals claim to have a "genuine environmentalist ethic," and the ones that do must subscribe to his ethic or they're not genuine? Like I said, the entire animal rights "ethic" is both cynical and dishonest.

There's a vague sense that perhaps he cares about the dogs or thinks that what he does to them might present an ethical dilemma, but the overwhelming feeling is that it's all worth it. Parlay greyhounds aren't for entertainment to they're not for experimenting on to neither are mice (again, takes a minute, but I've done it). Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics. Of course, there's the pure breed discussion as well as the breeding of dogs, in general, discussion (most frequent after the racing discussion for me).
