Has anyone, as a child, ever hurt animals like pelting stray cats and dogs with stones? As well, a part of me doesn’t want to be relieved of this burden, as I feel I’m undeserving of being freed from the emotional pain caused by my past actions. Have any of you guys here had similar experiences? Please help/suggest.

Right at the top of the list is the awareness that your new rescue has a shady history, especially if it was a stray. Rarely do shelters know anything about the dog’s history when they first come in and the longer a dog lives at the shelter the more impact it will have on their emotional well-being.

Beloved family pet Dalmatian, Pepper, is stolen, and after several weeks of searching is discovered to have been experimented on at a hospital and died on the table when researchers tried to implant her with an experimental cardiac pacemaker. By the end of my time as researcher, I was performing behavioral experiments on humans.
