I am in a state of shock: late May, warm weather and fog! In the morning in the lowlands, fog out of season! However, soon we are sneaking out of Belgrade, getting ourselves large cappuccinos at the en route drive-in McDonald’s and continuing to our first site: Beljarica Backwaters. The water level is quite high, no exposed mud bars nor shorebirds. The fog is not thick, but drizzle obstructs distant views.

Why don’t animals produce milk their whole lives, not just when they give birth. It seems like a nutritious and easy way to feed the population. Mothers seem to produce milk only during birth period not because they had an lifestyle changes. (I could be wrong) So an animal doesn’t lactate because of lifestyle changes but because it knows it needs to feed the baby why haven’t animals adapted to always make milk.

Tabasco is probably the wettest state in Mexico. During Mexico’s dry season (which is just now ending), most of the country turns brown, as our plants survive the annual drought by dropping their leaves. But Tabasco only turns from a big swamp into slightly swampy grasslands punctuated with some remaining swampy jungle. As such, it offers some unique birding experiences.

I saw a raven in my garden today. In London. I’ve literally never seen one anywhere other than the Tower of London. It was huge and destroying the suet filled coconut shell I put out for the normal birds. Wish I’d got a picture. Is this more normal than I think? Has anyone seen them just moseying around in back gardens?

Do you have any examples of animals breaking ties with other family members or pack members? In humans there are justifiable reasons for that, but are there occasions in nature that they animals give valid reasons to being broken apart from (hurt other pack members for example) and are consequently cast away from the pack?

This just happened and idk if I should be concerned or its normal, I tried looking it up online and nothing came up. So my garden has a lot of sparrows, they're basically in every tree and on the ground a lot and it was very hot so my mother made me hose the dog down (the dog loves this) and well I accidentally hit one of the sparrows (it was very close to where the dog was) and now it's gone under a bench and is shaking and not really moving, it's also gone very fluffy, is it normal
