After a pleasant morning with ducks, crisp snow and sunshine, we followed the wildlife trail on our way out. We admired the Bison in the frozen fields and saw a juvenile Golden Eagle which was both beautiful and a lifer for my hosts. Coming down from the emotional high we noticed our grumbling stomachs: time to eat.

If you want to know what happened on August 31, 1984, I can name at least one event: In the Padang-Sugihan Wildlife Reserve in South Sumatra province, a Large Frogmouth was mobbed by a Greater Racket-tailed Drongo, as described here. A Crested Serpent Eagle , looking a bit ridiculous after a rain. At between 4 pm and 6 pm, to be exact.
