I think there is a potential joke somewhere in a person saying in an exaggerated French accent “I have no egrets” (try imagining the French accent please, otherwise this is definitely not funny. The species that prevented the month from being really boring was the Amur Paradise Flycatcher.

Birding a monastery: Zhaga, Western Sichuan

So, maybe not be the best place to visit for monks suffering from depression. Maybe these people like challenges – at least here at the monastery, getting good shots of this species is quite easy. Another species apparently enjoying the proximity of a monastery is the White-winged Grosbeak.
