First, I do think people can either be desensitized to the rampant cruelty depicted in Earthlings, or so terrified of what might happen if they let it affect them that they simply shut down. In other words, the Law of Attraction tells them that if they start thinking about the "evil" in the world, they will bring evil to them.

In " 'Animal Rights:' Pernicious Nonsense for Both Law & Public Policy ," Massachusetts attorney and "sportsman" Richard Latimer is on the mark with some concepts, and way off with others. than with any genuine concern for species diversity or even animal welfare." He clearly hasn't heard of the low-hanging fruit concept.

I did have issues with the host country in this case because of the horrible way they treat animals, and their lack of any animal cruelty laws. Continue to abuse many other species with the full backing of the state. Note - this is not a knock against all those that competed. I don't have issues with them.

They belong to the canine species Nyctereutes procyonoides. According to the AP story, nine of ten jackets tested by HSUS were found to have trim made of dog fur, but were mislabeled in violation of federal law. Why is the dog subjected to such unspeakable cruelty?
