We had a blast, the family and I, and experienced some amazing natural places, to say nothing of the fine city of Seattle. We traveled from sea level to mountain ranges, port towns to wilderness areas, industrial wastelands to manicured parks. Seattleites are nice. Scary nice. Eat there. Even if you have to drug them. Seriously.

Essentially, industrialized farming=soulless, small family farm=soulful. Food for my soul does not involve grilled greyhound any more than it involves grilled chicken. The animals were still bred and raised for slaughter, but evidently in some kind of soulful way we don't really hear about. on my schedule and for my palate.
