Thanks to Grey2kUSA and the voters of Massachusetts who put an end to live greyhound racing in the Bay State as of last Saturday night! But one area that continues to provide them is the fight against the use of greyhounds as a source of entertainment (and gambling revenue) by forcing them to race. Fine Gael and rural Fianna Fáil backbenchers have called for greyhound breeders to be exempt because the industry is already regulated by existing legislation.

This is why I didn't campaign for a greyhound--it raises their profile. Not to mention the White House is not exactly the optimal environment for a greyhound.) Perhaps if there were a heartfelt message followed by action that supported it, no matter what breed were rescued, adoptions would increase. Maybe both.

But I didn't campaign for a presidential greyhound for exactly the same reason Obama's decision was disappointing: it glorifies pure breed dogs. Tags: Activism Current Affairs Ethics. They can say that the puppy was needing to be re-homed, therefore it's like adopting from a rescue group.

If you have a fat chested dog or one who is over weight, you may want to move up one size bigger and if you own one of the thinner breeds like Saluki, greyhound, or even a smaller, lighter framed Chihuahua, you may want to drop one size down.
