The accounts aim for specificity and authority; dates and locations of rarity sightings are given, and research articles on nesting and behavior are cited.

I don’t want some researcher a hundred years from now wondering if my single-observer White-winged Dove in Queens was real so I had to add a photo. Part of the prize was a brand new pair of Zeiss Conquests, which I was more than happy to try out this weekend. And once I saw my number of photos go up I had to add some more.
