They took dogs to Australia, chickens across the Pacific, rabbits to England, horses to the New World, and then brought potatoes back. There were no mammals, little game, and not many birds either. The reasons for this perceived lack of birds are threefold. In many ways, that is exactly what happened.

Any type of pet is game, be it dog, cat, horse, ferret, rabbit, etc. I mostly paint dogs but I also do cats, horses, ferrets, and other small critters and birds.
