They look crap but presumably offer some protection for the chicks, though not from each other (see the murderous activities within the nests in my previous post ). Lucky him, right? Blue-throated Bee-eaters build nests on sticks sticking out of the water. Though he ended up dead anyway.

It works well with the naked scope, but over time, I dressed mine into a protective sleeve, which somewhat restricts the finger movements (but not much). Did I said “extra sharp” image?
