The life list got off to a great start in January with ticks from Hawaii and smashed through the 4000 mark by mid January after Corey visited Jamaica. And we did , for the Peregrine Falcon and Osprey , the Brown Pelican and Bald Eagle. If something got rare we’d just tuck a preserve around it and keep it as a tourist attraction. We could do it! Then the 80s happened.

The year has started well with 10 new birds from India, China, Hawaii, Mexico and Costa Rica. Offshore Northwestern Hawaii. Bald Eagle – Haliaeetus leucocephalus. White-tailed Eagle – Haliaeetus albicilla. Any life ticks seen during that month wil be highlighted in red. The life lists stands at 3964.
