On July 23, ASPCA Supervisory Special Investigator Annemarie Lucas and Special Agent Kristi Adams arrested Brooklyn resident Andrea Stewart, age 39, after the woman attacked the two Agents. ASPCA , Joplin Humane Society to Host Weekend Adopt-a-thon for Joplin Tornado Pets. Nearly 600 cats and dogs looking for permanent homes during major pet adoption event June 25 – 26. To date, the ASPCA has provided emergency sheltering for approximately 1,300 animals.
