The zoo also allows patrons to pay to interact with certain animals, allowing kids to flop around with them in enclosures. I am attaching a news article below, but SeaQuest has locations across the country and documented issues at all of them. They were cowering together under a bright light for all the passersby to balk at.

Here's the full article from the Los Angeles Times. An animal rights group has called for a federal investigation into the death of an elephant at the San Diego Zoo Safari Park. The Northern California-based In Defense of Animals called for the Department of Agriculture, which does inspections of zoos, to investigate Umoya's death.

It’s a lot harder to ignore conservation campaigns to save habitat when you’ve seen the ‘photographic record’ of what happens when you do. The photographs span the years 1870 to 2004.
