There are many examples in the animal world of pack behavior. I have never been one to advocate the needless killing of animals for whatever purpose. While I'm not a fan of using animal hearts for transplants, I'm far more sympathetic to that than to simply using their parts for human vanity consumption. But the seal industry doesn't care. They'll exploit anything to try to save their barbaric trade and, if they can use guilt, even better. Excerpted from the Chronicle-Herald.

Notably, this is a vey small number compared to the number of rodents killed by the same cats. By-catch is the catchy word for animals that are killed from fishing that are not the fish being fished. About 15 million birds are killed annually by hunters, and of course this is distributed among a very small number of species.

This almost certainly can be argued to be true just on the basis of logic, because feral Cats are proficient hunters and are entirely out of ecological place. Smaller and larger animals (if there are any) are taken by other creatures.

The quills of the “Saqu Ettair” Secretarybirds feed on small lizards, insects, rodents, birds eggs and, of course, snakes. I’ve seen Secretarybirds zigzag after fleeing animals, spreading their huge wings periodically, presumably in an effort to maintain their balance as they twist and turn.
