Good for animals, of course – particularly some shy mammals. Being a mammal myself, I am understandably much less fond of this animal class than I am of birds. But I have to admit that seeing some of the wolves, foxes, asses, and sheep of Dulan county is nice, at least as long as they do not stand in front of some exciting birds.

While tracking brown bears in Greece some time ago, B. The first house had a sheep pen, with a pile of dung that clearly attracted a lot of insects and, further on, they attracted several Spotted Flycatchers , plus a large walnut tree with ripe nuts falling down ( Green Woodpecker , Eurasian Nuthatch , etc).

These are overgrown in steppe grasses and local sheep herders are subsidised by the authorities to bring their animals here to keep the grass short, prevent succession by bushes and manage the habitat. Alongside 170 birds, in this park you stand a chance of spotting the Eurasian Lynx , Brown Bear and Grey Wolf ! The Southwest.

Whenever one thinks about Yellowstone, the first though for the majority of folks is probably the animals. You know, the Bison, Elk, Bears and Wolves. We did not ever see a Grizzly Bear, but we did see a Black Bear , although it was way too far away for a picture. Here are the rest of the animals that we did see.
