I hate when animals are killed needlessly simply to be stuffed or their heads hung on the wall. Trophy hunters simply enjoy stepping on their heads. It seems both political parties do nothing for animals. Popular hunting magazines make animal rights groups like they're the bad guys. What are we to do?

Now that the species is listed in the US as "threatened," hunters can't import the dead body parts (aka hunting "trophies") in from Canada. In " 'Animal Rights:' Pernicious Nonsense for Both Law & Public Policy ," Massachusetts attorney and "sportsman" Richard Latimer is on the mark with some concepts, and way off with others. Now, I know you're saying: That's not what animal rights is. For an attorney, that's awfully weak.

I get that you’re really angry, I mean, he was a popular lion and yes, his cute widdle cubs will probably die to, but I can’t help feeling you’ve kind of missed the point a bit, and well, ending all hunting in Africa will not solve much and maybe make things worse and… No, no, I’m not a hunter. I mean it.

A judge has found five animal-rights activists not guilty of getting too close to seal hunters during the 2006 hunt off Canada's east coast. The five were charged with coming within 10 metres of seal hunters on March 26, 2006 while filming the annual slaughter in the Gulf of St. That's good news.

Ugh, this is barbaric and right out of the dark ages. A declawed, defanged bear is chained to a stake as hunting dogs bark and snap, trying to force the bear to stand on its hind legs. Animal rights advocates say it's cruel to the nearly defenseless bears and harms them psychologically. From the AP.

Seems that the guy that wrote Sarah Palin's convention speech was none other then noted conservative and alleged animal rights supporter Matthew Scully. Palin is known as an avid hunter; Scully is best known for his vigorous defense of animal rights. I guess he likes putting lipstick on pitbulls.
