Choosing to adopt a dog rather than get one at the pet store (or what some like to refer to as “puppy mill”) is a beautiful thing—essentially you are saving a poor pup from euthanasia and you’re providing a an animal with a good home. But adopting a pet is a huge responsibility and is very similar to adopting a child.

His large pouty eyes, silky fur-coat, and silly little paws on which he fumbled all over the hay-covered kennel, lured me in like a dog to a bone. After talking to the owner of the shelter however, I learned there was more to adopting little Chester, or any pet for that matter, than my love at first bark. Protect your pooch.

Vet bills are covered by the rescue. Move animals from pound to rescue/rescue to foster home/vets etc. Everyday we get notice that another poor soul had to be destroyed as there was no space so please do think of adopting. especially before you breed. The decision will always ultimately lie with the rescue though.

As their name suggests, they are a rescue group that is devoted to Chinese Crested dogs. They do wonderful work finding homes for this special breed. If you aren’t familiar with the breed, most of the “Ugliest Dogs in the World&# have been hairless Chinese Cresteds. We are involved in Crest-Care , Inc.
