We also saw a leopard, but it was the A to Z that sticks in the mind. Incidentally, encounters with both aardvarks and zorillas are rare – it’s much easier to see lions and leopards. This northern fox really does look red, unlike the pale, sandy-coloured animals I saw in Georgia in 2019 ( below ).

In 2019 I joint-led my seventeenth safari in twelve years with Capture Africa, we are a good team. The birdlife here is wonderful, a ten-night safari should give you over 200 species, (2018 & 2019 both gave us 242!). The Okavango Delta is also one of the best places to see the endangered African Wild Dog.
